HELLO Again Bro's,..MERLIN HAS RETURNED
Been away fishing darn near every day.
Edgewater Pier and Findley.
Good to see the OHIO crew gaining more members and posting.
Hope all have been catching as many as my son and i have caught this season.
Currently the Cats are big 24"-30" plus at the pier, and on the prowl for the GREEN tiger shrimp baits.
Night time is the right time, 11pm - 7am.
White bass 12" plus hittn the worms
Perch 12" on the minnows.
i hope some of you got the chance fish durring the july 1-17th days,. the minnows were camped right under the pier.
Billions of them, so everyone there was in perch heaven for those few days, we all loaded on 12"-14"-and many 16"-18's were caught, lots of fish fry that week. It was nice to see some record fish still roam our waters. But sad to see no-body cared about pictures or fish ohio pins, toward the end some greedy foreign creeps started showing up with a ton of rods and kids, loading cooler after bucket, the kids would run around trashing the place acting like they are fishing crossing everyones lines, running jumping screaming fighting, getting the pier to bounce and flex but the dads running the extra rods and the gear stay till 5am and leave the pier in a total state of slop mess, it got ugly fast.
Same thing happened with the white bass run last week. Just last night same guy showed up running 3 rods, his kid fell asleep in car at 11pm he stayed till 3am running all 3, refused to only use 2 when i handed him a 2005-fishing rule book, this guy and his buddy plus the 10 kids and 5 women are the reason all the regular folks from last year quit going to the pier since they started showing up.
Im asking our OHIO NAFC members to show up and help me set a better example there, be seen doing an honest mans fishing and a clean area after we leave.
"""BONUS""""
If you show up I'll bring the bait.
You wont have any problem finding out which person is me there, everyone yells "MERLIN" when they need help bringing up a big fish. Feel free to do the same.
